A dog with a stick in his eye

Today in my way home, I've just met a dog with a stick in the missing eye. I feel terrible now. I tried to catch it but, the dog run away in some backyard. I just don't imagine how somebody can do something like this. I will try to catch the dog tomorrow morning to bring it to the vets nearby.
